Novice question here

I have been cruising CL looking at machines and trying to learn the different machine profiles and options. I have seen several machines in the last week in bentwood cases where the case had a small hole in the lower right side. It appeared to be in the accessory box area. Can someone enlighten me as to what that is for?

Thanks
Ken

Most likely that is where the "Knee bar" goes.... some of the old machines had foot controls like we are used to seeing know, some had a bar that hung down and you pressed wit the outside of your leg.

I googled for a picture and this is the best I found.

Ok, that is what I am seeing. And it makes more sense because I was not seeing the foot pedal. Learned something new today.

Thanks

The controller is under the black metal lid where you would expect to put your accessories on the knee controller boxes.

Some people do not know to look up into the top of the carry case where there is a place to store the knee control lever, sometimes you get lucky and it's still there!

Mine was wrapped around the base of the machine when I got it. You are right, I never would have known to look inside the case for it. I was given it with no instructions, so was just lucky to figure out what that big bar was for and how to put it into the machine to use it. Works very well. I love knee lever controls. I grew up with that.
