Japanese-made White machine
 

Hello,

I am going to try to post a picture of my 1950s(?) White machine. Here goes.

I did not realize the glare on this pic. It is a light green color and still works like a charm. Let me see if I can post another pic.

[ATTACH=CONFIG]541582[/ATTACH] This is another pic at a different angle that allows the color to be seen. Anyone else have a similar machine? My mom gave this to me. She bought it from a coworker. It came with a cabinet as well.

Yes, I have a bunch of them. They're referred to as 15 clones because they are copies (albeit slightly modified) of the Singer model 15. Great machines and made in many colors but dozens of Japanese manufacturers.

That's a pretty one. I also have several, I have a fondness for the clones. They're almost bullet proof and sew such a pretty stitch.

I agree with you, Cari-in-Oly. I have a 15 clone that I bought for $5 at a "going out of business" thrift shop. Best piecing machine ever!

I always think it's kind of funny to see colored White machines. I have a White that is a turquoise blue - confused the heck out of my DH when I asked, "Will you carry the White machine upstairs for me? It's the blue one." LOL

Yours is very nice looking - how does she sew?
