Flynn Improved Multi Function Frame System
Nancy's Notions has this item on sale. Does anyone have it or have you used it? I am thinking of buying it while it is on sale but want to hear some pros and cons before I decide. I am new to doing my own quilting and it looks like this would make it easier to move the quilt around. Also, if you do use it can you use longer rollers to quilt a wider quilt or are you limited to the size it of the rollers that come with it? Thanks for your input and advice.

I had met with Flynn in his booth back in the mid 90s at Quilt Market and wasn't really impressed with his system. I so much find doing FMQ the old fashion way.

This was the first frame I used for fmq. I had it in the middle of a long table. I was very frustrated with it at first but kept using it. One day it clicked, like riding a bike, and I used it for several years. It's best for simple edge to edge designs. I think too many give up too soon and call it not worth it.

Thanks for your good comments. I am going to watch the video before I buy it.

I have used the Flynn system for years. I agree, don't give up to fast. I have made longer bars and can easily quilt up to 76 inches wide. I just hope and pray it lasts forever because I really depend on it for all my quilting. I've even thought about ordering an extra for backup. I hope some day I either find one in a rummage sale or someone that is trying to get rid of theirs. I'd buy it in a heart beat.

I have one upstairs that I bought from someone who did not like it. It had never been used. My kids took it upstairs when they cleaned my room out when I wasn't here. I am going to get my sewing shack up and running this spring and can use it when I can put it out on a larger table.
