Foot pedal stabilizer...
I don't really want to spend the money to buy and foot pedal stabilizer thingy and know someone out there has a good idea! What have you done to keep it in one place?
|
I use that grippy shelf lining stuff. This isn't the brand I have, but it's the same type of stuff: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/stor...d=drawer+liner

I play "fetch the pedal" cause I haven't found anything that helps.

It depends what flooring you have. The shelf gripper stuff is good on smooth surfaces and I have heard of people putting stick on hook tape on carpet.

the non-slip padding that's grid like works well. If you have rugs that need it, it's best to cut them to size, then use a scrap cut to fit your pedal.that keeps it from slipping but not always from flipping, so I'd like to see how it can be corralled.

I use the shelf lining stuff on a rug and it works well for me.

Bree123 is right except I buy mine a Walmart. I use it for everything. It keeps the sewing machine from moving on a newly polished surface. I have a piece under the coffee pot. I used it on the sewing machine pedal and also on the cutting sheets to hold them in place. I have metal dishes for my pins and a piece of it goes under each of those. Great stuff!!!!!

I have one of the mouse pads for coumputer that has the wrist strip on it and put on floor with the wrist strip away from me that keeps the pedle from slipping back and keeps it in place.

What surface is your floor?

I have tried several and this one REALLY works. Easy to make also. I think it is the roll at the end that makes it so good.
