New here, looking for some good quilting blogs to follow with BOM included

Beginning quilter here, looking for some free BOM patterns, or anything that would help give me more experience in sewing. I thought a quilting blog might be a good place to start. I thought some of you experienced quilters might have some advice. ♥ you all !!

Thanks,
Mary Jo

Sew Mama Sew, Persimmon Dreams...these are a couple off the top of my head. If you go to Kim's blog (Persimmon Dreams) she mentions others too.

Welcome to the QB, Mary Jo! There are blocks of the month and week here on this board, too. Look for the section called "Blocks of the Week and Month". I think some come from websites like The Quilter's Cache, and others come from books. I am participating in the Farmer's Wife 1930's Quilt block of the week group. It's tons of fun, two blocks a week, but you must first buy the book by Laurie Aaron Hird. It's so worth it tho, with stories from real women of the depression era.

Hope you find some fun on this board...

You can learn a lot from Missouri Star Quilt Tutorials.

Welcome from Arizona.

Here's one that specializes in applique, and she has very good instructions with very good illustrations.

Pat Sloan has one I like. http://blog.patsloan.com/ My favorite is The Missouri Star Quilt Company As mentioned by Tiggersmom. Jenny Doan of Missouri Star has tons of videos for quick and easy quilts. http://quiltingtutorials.com/
Connecting Threads is an online quit shop (fantastic prices) and they have a blog. I spend way to much in this online store. http://www.connectingthreads.com/

Such great links.. Thank you all for your time. I've spent the last 2 hours in the BOM's here as well. Still a beginner, so trying to stay away from paper piecing right now, but SO many "doable" blocks. I am a bit overwhelmed.

Quilter's Cache has hundreds of free block patterns and Marcia indicates if they are easy or hard and what size they are. Her directions are great so you can make your own BOM. http://www.quilterscache.com/
