Which should I use?
When I washed a new pair of white stretch jeans with colored clothes, a light blue patch was left on one leg (about 8" area). Would I be more successful using a Color Catcher or Synthrapol to remove it?

Rit makes a product that will take the color out. I used it when I accidentally got a red sock in with it. It took all the color out even thought the sweater had been washed and dried.

You have to use the color catcher during the wash process so that any lose dye will not attach itself another item.

I second the rit dye remover. A red sock got into my friend's white t-shirts once and she handed me every one of them and said I hope yo know what to do with this mess. I got it all out in one treatment. All like new decorator tops and I sent them to my sis after pressing them. My buddy didn't want them back, so I thought my sis needed a little surprise with the troubles she was going through.
By the way, this can be used to brighten whites back up to sparkling white. |
