Turbo Four Patch ruler.
 

Not many new quilt rulers gets me excited but I couldn't wait to get this one. I saw a demo of this ruler at guild but it was the original one not the new one from Creative Grids. I ordered the new one today. I want to make the quilt pattern Four Play and with this ruler it will be easier and more accurate with the tiny four patches. http://www.creativegridsusa.com/products/CGRDH3

I ordered this ruler too after seeing the video. I found it at the Fat Quarter Shop online. I love four patch quilts but don't like sewing all those squares together.

I got the ruler yesterday. I've been making four patch blocks of different sizes. It's not faster to sew the blocks but each seam is perfectly matched and the block is the correct size. I like that the seam line is used to measure from, not the edge of the block.

From what I saw the four play is not using squares so how can this ruler help? Maybe I'm seeing it wrong. It looks like it make a four patch really complicated to construct

The same amount of sewing for the four patch as regular but no middle seam to match. Sew the ends and cut.
