Just a Little Purse
2 Attachment(s)
I've had this pattern for a while but the hold up was getting up the nerve to cut the piece of needlepoint I found in a thrift store. I always associate needlepoint with my mother, who covered the dining room chairs and a pair of matching hearth chairs. I still have the piece we worked on together, for a piano bench (alas I have no piano now) and I appreciate the hours required.
This was a bell pull, and as my home has no use for a bell pull I felt only a little guilt cutting it. I used upholstery fabric hoping I will get more wear than had I used cotton, as was suggested. I only broke 2 needles. LOL |
Wonderful job!

How clever and it is being used and not in a closet or drawer.

Nice purse! It wasn't doing any good languishing in the thrift shop so I now it is showcased on your purse.

very cute!!!

That is a beautiful use for the needlepoint. I have done cross stitch off and on over the years, but never needlepoint. Your purse is lovely.

Anything done by you is not 'just a'. You do beautiful work and I look forward to all your inspirational posts.

Very nice and so glad you made something that is so useful.

What a great upcycle, beautiful purse!

You did justice to the original piece.
