sewing and quilting table

I know I have asked about a different table once upon a time, but I saw this while browsing today and thought this might be the ticket for what I am needing. I have been using banquet type tables for years and my shoulders always seem to bother me. I have read that this is probably due to a height problem and having my machine flush with the table would be less stress. My hubby (bless his heart) is not handy with tools and my budget really cannot handle those really nice ones ($1,000.00 plus). Has anyone used this and what do you think?
thanks

mine was made just for a janome. I got it off e-bay, and I just love it. at the time I got it it was about $250. love it. they are a must have, for easy of quilting. lots of ladies get their handy husbands to cut an opening in an old table and sit their machine down into it, or else build a table up....

That table would be less expensive than some of those acrylic tables that just fit up against the machine. Looks adjustable and with an adjustable task chair or whaterver kind you use. I may check into it myself for that price.

It looks worth checking into. I bought the Sew EZ table for my Viking because they make the acrylic cut-out for your machine and it is very sturdy - like the one for my Janome (which came with the machine). The best part is, if it doesn't live up to what you need you can return it.

ohhh, i will look at that. just bought a six foot folding table for my cutting table.

Do you have an acrylic extension table that will wrap around your machine to fill the gap around it? Otherwisethingswouldalways be falling into the open space. Theheight will really improve your posture and relieve shoulder strain. I bought my Janome table off Craigslist . Best $ spent in the sewing room after the machine!

If you have a vintage machine, or one of the heavier new ones, make sure that the shelf will support the weight of your machine.

Well ... I didn't know walmart had this type of table for sale. How cool is that? I hop eit works out well for you. I found one at a second hand store like this one. Cost me 15 bucks. Funny thing is, I just use it at the normal height to hold my embroidery machine.

I onto now the price of this one at Walmart but I have one ordered from Leah Day which she sells for $280 and also includes the acrylic cutout for your particular machine and the drop down table portion is adjustable. I love it

Try it...if it doesn't work, return it...that's what I would do. Btw, it's pretty compact looking.....let us know your decision.....
