Collection of baseball caps

Any ideas for a collection of baseball caps. I have quite a few but do not want to throw away. Would like to make a memory quilt or wall hanging.

The emblems, if they are attached, might be removable. If they are embroidered directly on to the cap, it would need to be cut around to remove. Then the edges would need to be finished (perhaps a satin stitch??). Either way, they are quite stiff and would not lend themselves well to a quilt. A wall hanging would be a better idea. Again, very stiff, so I wouldn't attempt quilting through the designs. Lots different than a t-shirt quilt! Good luck.

what you could do is make a quilt with each block representing the teams on the baseball caps. Then attach a band across each block for the cap to fit into or make a pocket for each cap. Like linda8450 stated It would be hard to make a quilt for utility purposes. You maybe able to find fabric to fussy cut for each block.

I think I read somewhere that you can remove all of the cardboard and interfacing on the hats, you can get them to lay flat, so you could applique them.

Interesting post. I did some research and found links to sites that say you can make quilts with them, but only one how to:
