I need opinions on which way to attach the fabric strips

I have put the strips 2 different ways, red outside, bluish inside on top, and the reverse on the bottom. Which way seems best. |

I vote for red on the inside, and make it skinnier...

Once sewn in it will be about 1/2 inch. each strip started out as 1 inch. Thanks for the opinions.

Marvin the martian is my favorite, please show the quilt when you finish it. I like the red too.
