Walking Foot Quilting - Not Just Straight Lines

I just did a couple of walking foot quilted pieces, and thought I'd share some pictures. I usually do most free-motion quilting, but wanted to challenge myself to do something in addition to straight lines using a walking foot to see what I could do. For some of the finer work, I actually switched to my regular piecing foot so I could see the positioning a little better. Here they are:
This one is about 20" square [ATTACH=CONFIG]569623[/ATTACH] And this one is 40" x 40". For this one, I used a piece of hombre fabric and pieced it together in quarter wedges to get the "glow" in the middle. [ATTACH=CONFIG]569624[/ATTACH] |
I would say you met the challenge and then some!!! Great quilting!!!!

your quilting pieces are breathtaking. all i can do is straight lines, if you want to call them that. and some squiggly lines too. Your work is amazing!!! Keep us the great work!
