Sew in love...

Hello! I'm Lar, from Baltimore, Maryland. I'm a new quilter, just dipping my toes in for the first time. I have a little experience sewing clothing, but that's a whole different beast. I picked up some fabric and a simple quilt pattern to see if I enjoy it... and promptly fell in love! There's so much great fabric and beautiful patterns out there and I want to learn to make EVERYTHING. My first quilt top (cutting corners blocks arranged in a chevron) is about half pieced, and I have two more lined up behind that already... oops! Not sure when I'll actually finish them because I'm a little intimidated by the quilting part, but this seems like a great community so I'll come bother y'all when I get stuck. ;)

Anyway, glad to be here! I'm off to drool over all your lovely creations...

Welcome from Southern California. But just a quick warning, this board can become as addictive as quilting.

Ha, I don't doubt it! Luckily my computer is only a few feet from my sewing machine...

I think most quilters fall in love with the process. There are many wonderful, talented quilters on this site, so you will learn new things every time you read. Welcome from the beautiful mountains of western NC.
