Help finding pattern for block?

I am looking for a pattern for a block that has one small square in the top row, then three same size squares in the next row, then five, then seven, then back to 5, 3 and 1. The block is then set on point.

Clear as mud?

Thanks!
Trish

You mean Granny Square?

Here's a tutorial. You just have to add more squares and one more row.

The block in your picture is indeed a granny square. It's the same as a trip around the world, although the granny square is just a block, and the TATW can be a whole quilt. At least that's my definition...

I have a lot of 2" squares and I need to remember to use them up and make the granny square quilt.

So glad you did this post.

This is a Granny Square...just bigger. Like I said, look at the tutorial carefully.
Add more squares to make it 1, 3, 5, 7, 5, 3, 1 and you will have it.
Does it makes sense?

I love this method! Thanks for reminding me that tute is there. I want to make one, just that way.
