What to do with 24 packages of large dry breadsticks?
I became the proud owner of a very large box of imported dried bread sticks, 24 packages to be precise. What do I do with them besides eat them with soup? I am very happy with them, having a larger family food is always in demand.

You could dip some in choclate for a dessert treat. Melt cheese and use the bread sticks for dipping or pour it over like nachos. Put them in the food processor with a little melted butter for crumb crusts for pies or squares. Lay them out solid on a cookie sheet and pour the boiled brown sugar and butter over them like the graham cracker squares.

Tartan I think you are on to something. Most all of the eaters at my house are kids or young adults. I think sweets, especially chocolate dip, will go over well. Hubby told me to melt Velveeta cheese and stick them in that. LOL

I am forever hunting bread crumbs. Finally I bought a Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus. Tiny little thing that pulses and chops. I would use some up in that and package the crumbs for the freezer.

I would use at least some of them to make bread pudding. It is a favorite here. I have never had a bread pudding actually cool off. Top it with a swirl of Carmel sauce for a real treat.

If no one really likes then I would grind them up to use as bird food for the winter. Mix with leftover grease and a little bird seed, spread in a pan, cut into squares when cooled and use as suet cakes for the birds. I always feed the birds at our house...summer, spring, winter, and fall.

In Italy they just sit them on the table to munch on while you wait for your meal. Also as an appetizer/snack with a thin slice of lunchmeat wrapped around it.

Put in food processor and make bread crumbs.

With the holidays coming, I would sack them and put in the freezer. They are perfect for dressing, stuffed pork chops, dressing in a baked chicken. Our family loves Dressings, so I am always glad to have extra bread dried.
