Question About Tutto Bag

I badly need a new rolling bag for my machines. Massdrop has a Tutto bag at a good price, but I have question about them. Are the sides of the bag, hard or soft? If they are soft are they padded or just the outer material?

Thanks for your help with this.

I do not have one, but my girlfriend has several. The sides are just the material although they do have an extra pocket on the outside, so I guess you could call that "some" padding. They zip open so a machine can be put in sideways if you need to or from the top. The outer frame is very sturdy and holds the machine in place. She has had hers for years and has never had a machine have any issues. NOTE: The biggest one has to be loaded by either a strong man or two women.

This All brands site shows a lot about the rolling trolleys. http://www.allbrands.com/products/93...6%20Embroidery]

Edited to add: This is just one of the sizes that is available.

Thanks, Barb! I'm really thinking about getting one. I'll mostly use it to transport my machines to classes or to be repaired. I thought I'd get one big enough for my Bernina and that way I can put the Featherweight in it in it's case and still have room for class supplies.

Mine has heavy material sides with a solid metal frame around the whole thing and a handle on top to lift it with and another handle to drag it around. There are outer pockets that you could stuff with padding if you were worried.
Just don't put your large square ruler in the outer pocket and then be forced to swerve suddenly so that the bag falls over....crack.
The bag is really well made and I think it will wear like iron.

Thanks! I decided to go for it! Especially since it was a good price and they had lime green!

I have been wanting a Tutto bag forever. When I saw the price on Massdrop I couldn't resist ordering a purple one. They have a chart that tells you what machines fit what size. I have invested in 3 rolling machine bags from Joann's---The wheels have broken on each of them. Let's hope the Tutto last a lot longer. I have friends who have had them for years and love them. It was time for me to treat myself nice.

I looked at the Tutto bags for years before I bought one. They were pricey. I love, love mine. They are well made with lots of pockets On guild sewing days I can get just about all of my supplies into it. They roll like a dream and the bag itself isn't heavy. They also fold for storage. If I needed another I would buy the same brand. They also come in lots of pretty colors.

I absolutely love my tutto bag!

I love, love, love my tutto bag! My only issue is that I have the 1XL (recommended size for my machine) and that leaves a lot of space. So I fill it! :) It is nice to put bulking things like batting and folded fabric in there. Then I have to have help loading it and unloading it from the SUV, but once it's on the ground it's a breeze to pull!

QUILT IN A DAY has the Tutto bags on sale right not. I have also seen them on E-bay.
