Opinions Needed - Border or No Border
2 Attachment(s)
I made the Texas A&M quilt top from a kit I bought. It was supposed to be a bigger quilt top but I made two of these instead of the one. I liked the pattern so I decided to try it with the Texas Longhorn fabric. Now I am stuck. Should I put a border around the Longhorn one? If yes, should it be black, white or one of the fabrics from the quilt? I don't know. It is so much easier for me to work from kits because the guess work is taking out for me. Any feedback is greatly welcome!

Cute tops! I might see how a black border would look but it could look too halloweeny? A small white border and then more of the orange fabric might work.

I do like the first one with the border, as it seems to anchor the blocks. I'm wondering if you could get more of that rusty orange to make perhaps a 2.5" border, then a narrow black and then a wider orange to get it to the size you want?

i like the border on the top one... so adding a border to the bottom would look good, too. i'd like to see an orange one. with a thin white or black inner border

Definitely need something to calm down the 2nd one. Solid black would be my first choice. The TXA&M one is very nice. The border frames it nicely.

Hook 'um Horns!! Orange border for sure!! Lol (I am a 2nd generation Texan)

I like the no border...gives it a more modern feel.

I like the border. I like the way it frames it nicely.

I say border like the top one. My two nephews attend that school--go Aggies!!
How about a wide light grey border and black binding? |
I like the look with the border. I'd do one from the orangy fabric with a narrow black around that and black binding.
