Favorite Christmas movie?

So many it is hard to pick just one; but the closest one to the top of my list would be "The Card" or it might be "The Christmas Card". Anyway it is about a Vietnam Vet and a family in the logging business. What is your favorite Christmas movie?

Not spiritual at all... but one of my favorites is The Grinch. The makeup, prosthetics, wigs, costumes and sets! Oh my! It's a visual feast. Great characterizations, too.

I like the grinch's dog :)

We're No Angels, 1955 Humphrey Bogart, Peter Ustinov, Aldo Ray, Joan Bennett, Basil Rathbone, and Leo G. Carroll.
Prominent treadle too!

Without a doubt- in this order:

It's a Wonderful Life
A Christmas Carol (George C Scott version)
The Ref- hysterical with Denis Leary and Kevin Spacy

I play them several times during the season- I love them all!!

Christmas Vacation is one we watch several times at Christmas. Wathching it has destressed me many times! My adult kids still watch Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer with their kids. LOL Nightmare before Christmas is one of the grandkids favorites. Also the the one with Sam Elliot about his little girl finding a lost reindeer, can't remember the name right now. Use to be one that played every year on tv called Pioneer Christmas. It is so good. Rose Wilder, daughter of Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote the story. Oh! one more, Emmit Otter's Jugband Christmas is excellent.

My favs are:

The Mistle Tones
It Happened on Fifth Avenue (1947)
The Christmas Card

I love the Christmas Card, too Bobbielinks. Ed Asner is such a perfect actor for that part

I always look forward to "The Mistle-tones". It's a mean girl movie, with fun music and a happy ending. I've gotten a little burned out on the classics, my fault...over watching. But I do love listening to Christmas music!

I'm feeling very shallow after all of your picks of sentimental and meaningful movies. My favorites are Christmas Vacation and Elf. I love to laugh at these and no matter how many times I see them, they still make me laugh!

White Christmas. I love Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.

I also love Scrooge with Albert Finney

Prancer! How could I forget that one? It's not Christmas without it. The little girl (Jessica) reminds me so much of my daughter at that age.
