Singer Piedmont help.

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and am looking for some information from some people who know more about these machines than I. I am a 30 year old Male and can usually track down any information I am after with the wonderful help from Google however this machine isnt really making sense for me. The only number I can see stamped on the machine is C795816. It has plastics on it so It cant be as old as what I see as Single character prefix before serial number which i read may be a german machine.
anyway If anyone knows a lot about these machines I would love to know more about this one so that I can sell it for the right price.

Thanks in advance

Chris

Hi Chris,

If your machine is a Piedmont, it isn't a Singer. Piedmont was a store brand of The Bay in Canada. If you can post a picture of the machine, people can probably give you some more information about it.

Price really depends on location as well as machine type. Many people here won't give value estimates for that reason, unless they're from your area.

Please post a picture, though, and welcome to the board!

Here's some info I found by putting in Piedmont Sewing Machine

There are 2 more parts to the youtube that come up when you access the first one.

If you're looking to make a bundle, sorry but it won't happen. All the Piedmont machines I've ever seen are 15 class clones and while they're great straight stitch machines there are literally still millions of them in existence today under hundreds of different names. Colored machines will bring a little more than the black ones and having the manual and accessories helps a little too but don't expect to get more than $50 tops.
