My favorite authors are Louise Penny, Jacqueline Winspear, Elly Griffiths, Charles Todd, and a few other writers of mysteries. Most write series, so you may want to begin with their first in a series. I also enjoy Jennifer Chiaverini's historical novels (some quilting included), and she has a new one called "The Enchantress of Numbers." One of my favorite books of all time was "All the Light We Cannot See." Have you explored goodreads.com?

The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon is something I read every couple of years. There is also a TV series on Starz.

I like suspense/mystery.....I've been reading Karin Slaughter and so far, I've loved all of them.

Felt same way about The Nightengale. It’s compelling.
