From a piece of focus fabric
1 Attachment(s)
Going through my idea box, I found an ad from Robert Kaufman showcasing one of their Asian prints, and remembered a piece of this fabric, given to me a couple years ago. Imagine my surprise when I saw how much there was of it! I made this one, and will make two more like it, maybe pale pale yellow for the sash.
The top is square, must have, as usual, been holding the camera on an angle. Sigh .... |
I really like how that came out. You amaze me with how you work with fabric. You make it look so easy. I have to make a horse quilt for a granddaughter. I may use your pattern for the center and then work my way out. You could be my inspiration.

Very pretty, nice pattern.

Your quilts are always wonderful, but this one and the last (monochromatic) are just wonderful. I'm into squares more than triangles, so these really appeal. You go, Judy! :-)

Great way to feature a beautiful fabric

Cute top!

I have a piece of fabric that would be a shame to cut because the print is beautiful but a bit large. This would work to make an interesting quilt. Thanks for the good idea!

Oh, wow, I love that!

Pretty quilt and design! A great way to use up your fabric. The squares work well together with the different sashings.

Interesting and great use of fabric. I might make a similar quilt with fabric I've been saving for about 10 years, but had not found the right pattern.
