Disappearing Disappearing 9-Patch Prototype
1 Attachment(s)
i made this one as a prototype for a larger version destined for a guile raffle.
this prototype will also go to the Lydia Project. the block starts as a standard, multi-fabric 9-patch. cut twice on the diagonals. mix and "match" the resulting triangles from the pile to make a new block. each of the new blocks cut into 4 pieces, across the horizontal and vertical center. mix and "match" some more. added sashing and border. quilted by a professional. Great pattern. I really like this scrappy quilt!

I love this. The sashing & cornerstones really add to the flow of the whole design.

What a great pattern! Thanks for the explanation!
What size nine patches did you start with, and where was the black that you ended up with black nine patches? Oh, wait a minute---those were made with cornerstones in the sashing making up the center square in the nine patch, right? |
Scrappies are wonderful and I love the complexity of this quilt. Wonderfully done!

What a great looking quilt, and very clever.

Beautifully done! and I love all the colors! I am currently working on a very simple version of the disappearing 9 patch. thank you for the inspiration!
