Need help making a memory quilt
 

I will be making a memory quilt from cotton pajama pants, dickey work pants, cotton shirts, and lined jackets. What should I use on the back of the cotton pj pants to give it more substance? TIA for the help

Edited to add: I would use an iron on. I'm not sure how thick the 906F is. It was the first one I saw that was iron on aka fusible and wasn't on the bias. Since it isn't woven, it shouldn't stretch which is what you want.

Pellon Shapeflex--it's a woven and fusible and lightweight and supple.

I vote for the kind used for t-shirt quilts. I forget the number, but you can google to get it.

I started a T-shirt quilt and looked for some stabilizer. They sold me Heat 'n' Bond. I brought it home and didn't think it was right. So I went back to the store. Those ladies said, Yes that was what I needed. So I went back home. Then I saw on the liner paper that it should not be sewn so I took it back. It said I need the purple stuff, the light Heat 'n' Bond. I brought that home and have made about 15 squares with it. But I don't think that is right either. What will happen to that when I try to press seams?

I'd use a tricot fusible. I used to do a lot of garment sewing and found the pellon products tended to shred after a lot of washing so I quit using them.
