Stocking Stuffer Ideas Needed
 

I put my foot in it!
A new quilting friend and quilter looked at a machine I found for her........she bought it with her DH's approval and I said off the cuff. I can give you a list of stocking stuffer ideas for Christmas.
Well today she said he told her to remind me that he wants that List!!!!!! LOL

So far I have come up with some usual ideas, but was wondering what you would add to my list!

Funny, I thought you meant stocking stuffers she could make for others on her new machine!
What about a thread catcher... you could make her one!

Let's make it fun for him too. At the hardware store, especially Harbor Freight if you have one, a magnetic bowl (garage people puts nuts and bolts in them, quilters put pins). A long scissor like locking tweezer. These are great for turning fabric tubes and picking up things that drop behind the sewing machine. They also have rotary blades for cutting cardboard--some people like them for quilting, some don't. A canvas tool carry bag for loading up and taking to classes.

Rotary blades. Zirkel magnetic pin cushion. Thread stand. Small wool pressing mat. Compact iron. Best Press spray.

Some fat quarters in fabrics that he likes.

Machine needles of various sizes!!!!. I would also add quilting clips, and marking pens.

Magnet to pick up stray pins. Today I used a protractor and compass. Canned air. An assortment of small brushes to clean the machine. A 1/4" foot or walking foot if the machine did not come with one. Something to store bobbins in. A 'purple thang' or other stylus.

A RAINBOW color wheel by Dritz where you can see the colors of fabric through wheel to help with fabric choices.

One good pattern, as large a mat as he can afford, a plastic box for her tools (like a tool box) a small screw driver if it did not come with the machine, a can of sewing machine oil, a good pair of scissors, and a rotary cutter with extra blades. If she has a small cupboard for her stash or a closet, maybe a plastic drawer unit to start her out. I just told my hubby to get me a small round iron and a snack tray made into an ironing board. I want another unit that Joanns have that holds the 5 or 6 boxes that hold about 4" of fabric such as a kit. Tell him to use as many coupons as he can.
