Clean basting spray off hands?
 

I’ve used the Original quilt basting spray for some appliqué pieces that I’m adding to a quilt. Got some on my hands but can’t get it completely off despite using sever cleaners! Help?
Tried borax hand cleaner, Dawn, simple soft soap, nail polish remover, alcohol, vinegar & Dawn, ...!

Try cooking oil. It's amazing what you can get off with it (gummy residues from labels, glues, etc.) "Wash" your dry hand(s) with it, work the oil in for a bit till you feel the goo softening. You may need to let it "sit" for a bit to soften it. Then rub your oiled hands well with dish soap. Wash it all off with water. It should come right off.

(Cooking oil is great for any "goo" on non-porous surfaces. Don't try this on textiles unless you are desperate and are willing to throw them out if you can't get the oil out after the goo is gone.)

Spray your hands again with the basting spray and then wash with hot soapy water or safe solvent before it dries. I would do one hand at a time.

WD-40 is the goto adhesive remover, used by me and everyone else I know. It's safe for skin contact too. Petroleum jelly also works, as well as being a good moisturizer.

I think WD-40 might do the trick or I have also used DeSolve it.

I use Goo Gone on the overspray on my table, and I have used it on my hands when needed. (Never thought of WD40 or cooking oil.)

I'm at a temporary residence in FL so didn't want to run out and buy something that I'll have to use just a small bit of. I used the new version of June Tailor and it was just awful... it did not spray easily and globbed up and got all over my hands. Now what to use on my skin? I tried cleanser and Dawn ultra, but got only partial results. I started trying things left at this house... rubbing alcohol, and Bar Keepers Friend. Not gone yet. I tried the above suggested cooking oil... still no! I got desperate and tried the Lime Away stored in the bathroom. That got the best results, but my skin was still not clean and smooth and I wanted to crochet. I tried the cooking oil again, and that did smooth things out enough for the yarn to slide through my fingers, but I still don't feel totally clean :)
