Name that quilt pattern! Please and thank you :)

Greetings new QB friends, this is my first post, thank you for having me! I am so happy this forum exists and I can't wait to share my projects with you all. I hope I found the right place for this question. Thank you in advance for any suggestions or starting points.

I found a quilt design online (qvc.com) that I would love to attempt as my next project and I have been unable to identify the official name of the pattern. If anyone has a guess or even better, a proper pattern with instructions I would be forever grateful!

I can not help you with the first quilt but there are a number of stained glass quilt ideas on Pinterest - just search for ‘stained glass quilts’.

The qvc link you provided looks to be a variation of a Giant Dahlia quilt.

Here are some images/pattern links. https://www.google.com/search?source...31.LTA0S8DNOto

the first one is a giant dahlia with small florals that give it the delicate look... it's all about fabric selection and placement. here is a better picture of one where you can get the templates http://www.frommarti.com/mm5/merchan...egory_Code=PPT
and here is an old QB thread talking about the ease of use although most of the links in it a no longer valid https://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f...t-t256950.html
just google giant dahlia and lots comes up

The first thing I will ask, is how long have you been quilting? Both of those I would say are for very experienced quilters. The dahlia is on my list to do one of these days. LOL

Hi Paisley,
welcome to the board.

Welcome to a warm and happy place!
The first quilt you have posted is indeed a Giant Dahlia.
The second one is a very complicated stained glass, one I would not attempt because I wouldn't want to be working on it for the rest of my life, lol. There are many lovely stained glass patterns available which don't have a gazillion pieces. Try something a bit smaller first to see if you like doing "stained glass" quilting. Some love it, others not so much. Good luck!

There is Stain Glass fabrics you could use to give you the effect

Welcome!
Having done stained glass quilts, I'd suggest you start out with something a little tamer and grow from there. Keep pictures up around your sewing room of what you aspire to, to remind you of where you want to get to so you keep striving and improving your skills until you can take on anything you choose.

Welcome to the board. This is a truly Awesome place with a lot of great quilters, beginning quilters and a lot of in betweens. I hope you will love it here. You certainly did pick some difficult quilts but there are quilters here that can and do make them.
