why do i expect to be able to cut easily when i have table knives with sharper blades?

i have some old packages of blades that the blades are stuck together. i used a straight pin to loosen them up so i could separate them.

the blades would not slide apart . i am thinking a klutz glove might be a good thing to use during the separation process when they are stuck together.

maybe some oil to loosen them up?

I use the rotary cutter to separate the blades.

A magnet will pull them apart. I would gently wipe the blade and then put a drop or two of sewing machine oil on it. I change blade at first skip so I always have a sharp blade. I won't use a dull rotary blade, that is too frustrating so why do that to myself.

I put my klutzy gloves on and use a razor, exacto or utility knife

Now that is using your noodle! Why can't I have such common sense! I just tried it on a pack of blades. Worked fine to slide the blades up and off the stack. I didn't have to touch the blade at all. I put it right on the cutter and slid the magnet off.

My thoughts exactly. Some days I don’t think so good. Lol.

I buy Sewology blades. They are packaged separately in the big packs. And they are less expensive also. They last about the same as the expensive ones for me.

I use a pair of long tweezers to get the new blade out of the package and on the rotary cutter. No fingers on the blade.

Is there a perfect blade or cutter out there? It seems that no matter which one I look at there will be negative reviews against it. It's so hard to know what to believe or if it's even possible for there to be the perfect one. So frustrating!
