Pennywinkle - Sunshine longarm quilting machines
 

Does anyone have experience with the Pennywinkle Sunshine quilting machines?
Good or bad?

I have never heard of them. A longarm is too big an investment to go with an off-brand IMHO. Will they be there long enough to provide support? Do they really know all the ins and outs of making a good frame, let alone a machine? The website does not make me very confident.

Penneywinkle has been around for some time; not a newbie in the quilt world. It is an entry level quilting machine, very basic. Saw one at a quilt show about 9 years ago, but I have never used it and don't know anyone who has one.

I googled "Pennywinkle Sunshine quilting machines" and quite a bit came up. I didn't read the posts, but maybe some info you could use!

I never heard of them, but looked up their website. I think it's worth noting the machines are American made. It seems to be a small enterprise that only presents their machines at a few quilt shows a year. It might bear watching. If I were considering one of these, I would get a strong commitment as to warranty and the availability of maintenance service. My biggest worry would be finding someone who could work on it without my having to send it away to another state. That, however, is a problem you might run into even with much better known brands.
