Cottage Joy help
Hi Quilters, I need some suggestions as to what quilt pattern I should make with this fabric. It's at the link. I have 2 Cottage Joy layer cakes and some Cottage Joy green yardage. Tell me what you think would look good. Check out the layer cake fabrics. I want to make it queen size. Thank you for your help and suggestions.

Jenny Doan has a lot of tutorials that feature layer cakes. I would check out Youtube.
Beautiful line of fabrics!!! |
Jenny at M* recently did a Rick rack quilt that I liked. She used a jelly roll, but you could get the same cuts from a layer cake.

There's always some classic like D9P, D4P or just 4 patches with sashing or
square in square. Check Moda Bakeshop and MSQC. They have loads of patterns for pre-cuts. Google Image is another option. |

Pretty fabric line.....I made this quilt for my brother in a garden colors fabric line... He loved it! I found the pattern in one of gazillion patchwork books but I found that Pat Sloan has a free pattern, too. Super cute quilt when done.. Here is my brother's quilt...

This is what we came up with. Added some of the main floral and white to extend it to a throw. She pulled the 2 reds. No border and a blue binding with white flowers will finish it. DW just finished the top. Busy and bright! I named it "Bees in the Window".

Thanks Teen for the link and the photo. I really like this pattern and saw it before, but didn't have the pattern. I could use this for QOV too. Love your brother's quilt!-

Thanks kiltedquilter for showing the fabrics in a quilt. The fence rail is nice. I wonder if there is a way you could see the fabric done up in some quilt patterns on your pc before you actually cut the fabric.
