Flowers for Emma, by Sherri Mccnnell
3 Attachment(s)
I started making EPP hexi's before I moved since my stuff was packed and I wanted to still enjoy my craft. I do not have the endurance needed to complete a Grandmother's Flowers quilt so when I saw this pattern in American Patchwork magazine (June 2018 - Issue 152), I just fell in love with it. I used the vintage looking scraps from my Simple Pleasures quilt and a neutral 10" layer cake for the 4P to complete this. Quilting will have to wait until I move into my home currently being built but I will finish this off with a scallop border as per pattern and a multi-colored binding. Since I still had a bunch of hexi's, the 3rd picture is the WH I made for the board Swap inspired by a wool applique design I saw somewhere on the web, tho I added the swing and mini quilt embellishment..

Love them Teen!

The hexi flowers are so sweet and cheerful! Lovely quilt, Teen!

Cute top and runner!
|
Very pretty! I've made that top one too. Hand quilting around the flowers is my hand project while recovering from surgery.

Sweet quilt! Cute table runner.
|
Wonderful quilt and beautiful ... (it doesn't look like a table runner. Is it a wall hanging?) Really so feminine and fancy!

Those both look really great!

Teen, your Hexie quilt is sweet as can be. Wonderful colors and I really like the assortment of neutrals for background...something I like to do too, plus it’s perfect for anything vintage.
I’m finished with my “periwinkle” WH. Picture to follow soon. |
