interfacing
I am looking at interfacing for a tshirt quilt
Lately I have been using Heat'n Bond Non-Woven Lightweight Fusible Interfacing. I am not sure why I started buying that brand But I am wondering about trying Pellon P44F fusible interfacing has anyone used that P44F? Will it work for tshirt quilts? |
That is the interfacing I’ve always used- the Pelion. I use Heat n bond lite fusible for appliqué but didn’t even know they made an interfacing too. The Pelion works great- I buy it by the bolt

I sometimes use Pellon 911F (non-woven) but prefer Pellon ShapeFlex--it's woven and has little stretch in one direction, but once used it's not really noticeable. What I love about it is that it's so light weight and drapes well, so the block is not stiff at all.

I used pellon sf 101 for the interfacing on my T shirt quilt and it worked fine

I haven't used it yet but was told to get Pellon 906F. Very lightweight fusible interfacing.

I don't use any non woven interfacing on anything that will be laundered a lot. Years ago when I was making a lot of clothing, I had several instances of the non woven coming apart after being laundered several times. I use one of the tricot interfacings. They are soft and don't fall apart as the non wovens can.

Our local quilter uses featherweight. About $4/yd. I personally use the 99cent/yd. Of course be sure to get your Joann’s coupon. Don’t pay full price. Good luck!
