Pattern problem
 

I purchased the Big star pop pattern from Connecting Threads and I have a question page 2.

It states, " measure 11 " from the cut edge,, and cut the opposite side of the star point. A great way to do this is to place rulers side by side until you can measure out 11 " in width."



Does each color need to be 11" from the cut edge? When I put the ruler at the cut edge and measure in 11", my top color (which is the darkest color) is extremely small. It measures approx. 3". Shouldn't it be bigger? Thanks your help.

I think this is for the settings squares or triangles and only applies to the background.

The two-ruler technique is used when your cut is larger than your ruler.

Craftychick it is 11" from the cut edge at a 45 degree angle. So all of your strips will be 11".
