question about using 2.5" squares

I am wondering whether it is legit to make every other row so the square seams are at the half point instead of matching all those corners... ??

Hey it's your quilt. Do what you want. My only concern would be that the top might look too busy--or it might look really neat! Why don't you lay out some unsewn squares on your design wall and take a look?

So you're saying one row would be off-set? It might be okay...and would certainly alleviate the need to reduce the bulk where all the seams meet.

Sounds like a good idea. Matching all the corners on 2-1/2 inch squares would be tedious.

Why not? If that's what you want, then do it whatever way you want,

Yes, that's the idea!

sure. depending on the color arrangement, it could create a pretty top!

Like a brick wall? That is what I use when the blocks are uniform.

I do it all the time as it is my chosen form of therapy-I love squares and sewing squares!
