Feather echo done
1 Attachment(s)
It went pretty fast with my walking foot and my knee lift to reposition. Is it perfect? No but if I wanted perfect,I would get a computer longarm and not use my Bernina 440 . Now to trim, get the binding on and finish.

For those who wanted to know how I did my feather border. I used an old hand quilting stencil and chalked the feather loops and then FMQ in the left side first. I then did the right side of the feather. As you can see by the stencil, it had double straight lines but I wanted something more organic. I moved the sides closer together allowing just enough room to quilt in the spines on the third FMQ up the center. The scalloped echo I cut a template out of card stock that I used the stencil feather edge to get the spacing to match the feathers.

Beautiful echo as well. Good use of that old stencil... I have quite a few just gathering dust, I should pull them out and see if I could use them.
