Jinny Beyer, tumbling blocks with no "Y" seams
Today there was a post about doing "Y" seams and easy methods. There was a link to a Jinny Meyer's tutorial that was fabulous and led to me buying one of her patterns kits .. Crayon Box. Gorgeous! I would like to find the tutorial that was linked to here on the board. I know it will come with the pattern kit, but I sure would like to see it again before then! Thanks for any help you can give!

Couldn't find it on the board, but is this what you're looking for?

this is the same method as a pattern I bought many years ago... Not Your Grandmother's Tumbling Blocks by Marci Baker. Yikes, it sure is pricey now! https://www.amazon.com/Not-Your-Gran.../dp/0965143910

If you bought the Jinny Beyer kit, you may not be able to use the tutorial Diamondee provided, because it does not use Y-seams. Jinny's version does. She does a lot of work by hand, though Y-seams can also be done by machine.

I just finished looking at several of the links above a couple made my bookmarks for future use. I have not made a tumbling block quilt before but this might make it to my quilting to do list.

Y seams really aren't that difficult. Try learning the technique and you will feel very proud of yourself that you now can do something so many quiters are afraid of.😊
