Washing batiks

I obtained a number of Batik salesperson samples recently. Anyone have any luck in getting the sticky cardboard residue off? I am hesitant to put them in my washer. I did a few by hand but very tedious. Thanks

I love Goo Be Gone for things like this. If You use this be sure to wash with a good detergent and oxyclean.

I’ll try that. I like it too but never tried it on fabric. Thanks

I use lighter fluid for these circumstances. I have even used it on grease spots my DH lovingly brings in on his boot.
Washes right out.

That's a hard one. When I worked in Interior Design, the sample books had lovely gradiated fabrics in them. Some of the paper pulled off easily and others actually had glue that soaked thru and thru and was impossible to remove. A good soaking in water may help soften the adhesive.

As above, soak in Goo Gone and be patient, let it do the job. Gently wash in a sink with Dawn original. Repeat if necessary.
I also have a collection of samples and do this all the time. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. Good luck.
