Finish quilting ideas for wallhanging

I am going to make several Attic Window Wall hangings for Christmas gifts. How do you quilt wall hangings? I have had my first 3 quilts quilted by someone with a long arm, but I am looking for suggestions on how I could do these myself, either by hand, or machine. Thanks.

Hard to say without a picture but you can just do straight lines on the angle borders. Depending on what you have put in the “window” I would just outline stitch some of the items.

Stitch in the Ditch works well for those "frames". The window panes will probably need something else; a meander might do or outline somethings as Tartan suggested.

I much prefer machine quilting on wall hangings. I only have a few here that I have kept over the years and only one was partially hand quilted and it just felt out of place. Attic Windows is easy to stitch in the ditch for the window panes and stippling can be a good option to tightly quilt to fill in a space and leave unquilted whatever it is on the window pane. I can wait to see what you are doing...

I stipple quilted mine. Look at my panel quilts in my albums. While mine are not a bunch of attic windows, I did make a window of some of the panels and stipple quilted the whole quilt.

I outline quilt the picture in the window by hand and stitch in the ditch the rest by machine.
