Turned baby size into Snuggle size

I had a baby quilt pinned together for forever and just kept passing it over to quilt. Probably because no prospective recipients are in the near future! Plus, now I am a "spray baster"! So, I unpinned the layers, and then tacked on some more borders. The size is perfect for the couch! Also, I totally enjoyed applying my new quilting skills. Most quilting was done with my straight stitch walking foot. I decided that practice makes perfect, so I FMQ on the spirals. The first spiral stank, but gradually I got the hang of it. Since I have discovered how to sew with metallic thread without it breaking, I used it for the stitching on the fold over binding.

Congrats on your progress with all your techniques!. I think delays happen because something better is coming along. You made a pretty couch quilt

You did it proud. Sometimes I wait to quilt until my skill level improves enough for what I want to do. I still have a wall hanging for my quilting room that is waiting for spectacular quilting so...............I'm not there yet, but getting closer.

Love that quilt and fabrics are just beautiful; great quilting too.

Pretty Quilt. The good thing about quilting is that you can always learn something new or improve on something old. It is a changing process with every quilt.

What a fun quilt! So tropical. Good for you for practicing your FMQ skills, too.

Great job and a wonderful finish.

Cute quilt and I think you've got FMQing. It is such a satisfying feeling knowing you have completed the whole quilt yourself.
