Rainbow Star quilt
1 Attachment(s)
I generally join in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge run by a blogger each year. She announces a color for each month, and participants make scrappy blocks out of those colors. I'm not good at lasting the whole year as at some point, I make a bunch more blocks and finish before the year is out. This year, I made scrappy star blocks from Eleanor Burns' free pattern page and alternated them with other 16 patch blocks. I like the way this turned out. It's a large throw-sized quilt, quilted with a walking foot using my Elna 720.

Your quilt is charming and what a good way to use the beautiful cuts or colorful scraps. As you can tell by my avitar, I like the rainbow look also. Showed your photo to my daughter and she is ready for me to make her one. I did save a photo to a future quilt folder. Thank you for the info, pattern source etc. What a fun swap exchange, monthly colors. Love it!
