Scrappy Rescue
1 Attachment(s)
A couple years ago my great niece gave me a box of fabric scraps from a quilt she started and abandoned. She told me I could do whatever I wanted with it. I was attempting to clean earlier this year and was just going to donate the whole box when I took a closer look. She had made a couple hundred 4 patches from various fabrics, from LQS quality to recycled clothing. Her seam allowances were also various. After all the work she had put in, I decided to see if I could pull something together. I had to recut all the 4 patches to the smallest size, added my own fabric for sashing & cornerstones, made up a border design and set the whole thing on point. I just meandered in the center and did some ruler work in the border. it finished at 72" X 92". I think it came out pretty well for a rescue, and I hope she likes it.

Oh, that is nice! Mind if I steal it? I still have a whole bunch of 2 1/2 inch squares from the birthday swap a couple of years ago
