I love these wool mats. Makes pressing blocks, etc. so nice. What is the small zippered bag for? It sure is cute 😊

I was wondering the same thing. I'll use as a notion pouch if and when I'm ever able to go to a retreat.

I ordered one and it came today...very pleased...plus a silicone iron rest.

Mine doesn't smell when I use it. Does yours, Homespun?

Sorry, I haven't used mine yet!

I used to iron out the crease in a piece of folded fabric...no smell.

How hot does it get under this (or any other wool mat)? I had an old foam-filled pressing mat, and used it on a plastic laminate table top--and it warped the laminate.

hray, the heat does not penetrate the wool mats. What's good about it is that it directs the heat back to the source. So it's like ironing on both sides of the fabric at the same time.
