I inherited this UFO. I volunteered to complete it but it came without instructions. It is a beautiful “French country?” blue and yellow fruit and flowers design. I have lots of coordinating fabric. Can anyone help me complete this quilt? 🤩 thanks |
I love the colors. It's hard to know how to lay it out without knowing how many squares you have. Perhaps it was a project that was just starting and you need more blocks. I don't know where you could find matching fabric but I would certainly search. It could be made into a wall hanging if you only have a few blocks.

Wow, perhaps you will end up using the pieces to make up your own blocks. if no name comes up, just start laying them out and standing back to see how things go. Good luck!

Add from your stash some coordinating fabric to make placemat donations to Meals on Wheels. Especially needed during this time of reduced personal contact.

My Bee calls it a Whack a doodle. It is made out of border fabric. The quilt is assembled often on point with a boxy square, then and x square, then a boxy square ect. I made one a long time ago, sorry I don't have a photo. I assembled it by laying a line down the center of the same boxy blocks on point, filled in with the x boxes on the side and so on. Not all blocks are the same but they usually have an almost parallel looking block that can pair on the other side of the quilt.

The primary maze and blue are beautiful. Do you have more pieces completed like this and what are other coordinating colors? This can be quite exciting just have to have a look at what else goes together. Glad to help if I can but not sure what you have there to work with.

In my UFO closet is a similar one. I found it at Missouri Star. She called it "quartered stripes"
