Gritzner treadle machine
 

I have a Gritzner VG treadle machine in a wooden cabinet. I have had her since 1975, I would like to find out her approximate age. The machine is missing the spider badge, the only number I find is stamped into the base of the machine. I have checked all of the sites listed on google without any success. According to a German website (<link - hopefully in English) the VG would be about 1945. There evidently was another style that had a different body shape and probably later. There is another English website about Gritzner machines, but does not list the VG.

Nice machine! Thank you for showing it. It looks like a little different bobbin winder than the German site I linked to. I'm wondering if it may be a little older than the one shown there. I know a lot of the early European machine has a bobbin winder with a long arm on them. Yours appears to be in between the really old styles and a more modern ones. I'm thinking that maybe they needed a different winder for electric machines.
