Need help with Singer knee controller.

Does any one know how remove this knee controller from the cabinet? It's a singer cabinet from the 1920's. I was expecting a button style peddle, this is what I found. It all appears to be hard wired. No connectors anywhere.

Here its another picture from the under side. I'm hoping the controller slides right out of that metal box but so far it's not budging.

I just took one of those out of a table, the actual controller was attached to a large plate, along with the knee lever. I took out the whole plate, lever, etc.

i know at least the black cover comes of because a few years ago i removed the cover to rewire the machine in the table. My recollection is the controller stayed attached to the pkate.

Thanks Joe. Guess I'll have to take the bracket out. In the mean time I've taken the wires off of the three pin connector and taken the machine out. It's a Singer 101 in a beautiful cabinet.

I just dug out the parts, there is a screw on the back side of the black cover over the controller, if you can get to that without taking off the whole thing the black cover slides down over the controller and you can get to the terminals.

My table with this was a fire mahogany split down the middle, a beautiful table. It came to me with a White Model 65 in it and was the set up which started me with vintage machines.
