Hello from VA.

Hello from Virginia! Recently retired a few years ago, looked after brand new granddaughter❤️. I recently took up rag quilting and with everything I’ve looked up no one does it the same, or really explains for beginners. Anyway, I’ve made 2 blankets so far, so l really can’t be doing that bad. Looking forward to making more.

Howdy from Texas! So good to have you join our group. I've only done one rag quilt & it turned out to be pretty heavy. I liked how it finished & may make another one some day. We would love to see pictures of yours.

Hello from SE Michigan! Good to have your join us. Rag quilts. I am a big fan of Accuquilt (not affiliated with them) and bought the Rag Die from them that has all the cutting done for you. Makes making one fairly simple. It is on my list for next year.

Hello and welcome! I haven't been to Virginia since Gerald Ford/Nixon... so waving from across the country, near Seattle.

One of the nice things (which can also be confusing) is we can each quilt our way and make what makes sense to us/what we desire. Glad to have you here :)

Welcome, Case, from Minnesota. I have never made a rag quilt, but they look so cozy. You should do what works for you.

A warm hello from Delaware! A long time quilter, I find the different methods refreshing. I can use the method I find works best for my hands and brain. So try many and see which way works best for you. Taking a class, in shop or online, can also be a huge help. Happy quilting!
