Pattern identification

I'm new to quilting, but a friend has an antique quilt that has a pattern that I'm not familiar with and wanted to get more information on. The blocks are similar to Star Flower blocks but the star is the same material and it has squares surrounding it making the block look something like a mini Broken Star quilt. Anyone have any additional info or names for this particular block pattern?
Thanks!

So pretty! If I were to recreate it, it looks like an expanded 8-point star. I pulled out my handy dandy Barbara Brackman encyclopedia and think this is a Rolling Star (Brackman #296.5 & 3805a)) She dates the earliest print of this pattern to Ladies Art Company 1895 & Capper's Weekly 1927.

My first thought was also Rolling Star. It is considered traditional and there are many free patterns.

Here's one!

Yepper Rolling Stone here is the link in Quilters Cache https://www.quilterscache.com/R/RollingStoneBlock.html. It looks very easy to make.
