Singer 15 tension
 

Tension is out of whack after we rewired the machine. Any ideas?

What do you mean out of whack? Is the post bent, is the check spring missing or in the wrong position? Are you threading while the presser foot is up? Are you adjusting the tension when the presser foot is down? Is it crooked, so that you can not turn it? There is a video about removing and replacing one that looks like the same as yours at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCcKzpeiVLI I'm not familiar with who did it, but skimming trough it - it might help.

No the stitching was loose on both sides and when I pulled the thread the whole thread came out. I will check out the mentioned items and a few more I found her on the QB when I get home. I just ran into someone who asked me to repeat what I said and they think the bobbin is in backwards. Guess I will find out tomorrow.

I would also suggest making sure that the threading for both needle and bobbin are correct and going through all guides and springs. Another possibility is the pressure on the presser foot. Do you have a manual for your machine? If not, one can be found at https://www.manualslib.com/manual/18...ger-15-90.html paying particular attention to pages 13, 17 and 19. Rare to find timisng issues on those. yea. Follow the tread path.

Rewiring shouldn't impact tension. More likely, the thread path needs checking. If thread pulls out freely, I would check to be sure the foot is up when threading, and that the thread is seated between the tension discs.
