More Quilting After Quilt is washed
I washed a baby quilt I completed and my question is whether I can add more quilting in some spots. The pattern is Mary Johnson Strip quilt (which I have made several times before and had no problems ) The fabric in the 3" strips is very loose looking. The quilting was done about 2 1/2" apart. I used Mode 3 and pattern 30 on my Janome 8200 sewing machine. I do not know why this happened. Any help will be appreciated. Would send a picture but have not figured out how to do that.

I don't see why you can't do more quilting on a washed quilt unless it puckered a lot when it was washed.

Absolutely you can.

Yes, you can. I have done this. The quilt was really nice, a gift for Mom, but the quilting just didn't make the magic. I asked for advice and the suggestion was to add echoing around the flowers (it was FMQ). That bit of extra quilting really made a difference.

Sure, just watch that you don't sew down wrinkles if the quilt puckered a lot in the wash.
