Spring Fever....and Quilting...

1 Attachment(s)
:) I am enjoying the sunny days with a gentle breeze and find myself wanting to be outdoors. I have a great back porch that I set up a small work station for pinning my block units. I thought about bringing my ironing board out to press the many block units as well. I have brought my rotary mat outside to cut out a quilt or square up block units.

Please share your ideas/pics of what you enjoy doing outdoors during the quilting process. I imagine those with campers and rv's enjoy the outdoors as they work on their quilts.

Happy Spring Quilting to All!

I wish I could take mine outside. It has been too windy to do that here.

I have been known to hand stitch binding outside sitting in a lawn chair.

I, too, am an outside "let's get this binding done" kinda woman. Adirondack chair on back deck with bench to hold quilt and whatever.

I have a patio area in the yard with comfy chairs, and a huge umbrella that I use when doing binding. I am looking forward to spending time outside, this seems to have been a very long winter!

Looks inviting! When I am outside, it’s all about the great outdoors not quilting.

The closest I've ever come to quilting outdoors is working next to the big slider windows when I'm sewing at the cabin! I'll have to remember to try and sit outside next time I'm doing a binding, It does sound like it would be fun, and relaxing!

That looks relaxing. The wind here has been horrendous. 20-30 mph! Too windy to quilt outside, so, I just take frequent breaks outside.

Oh, I wish...it's either the wind, snow or cold temperatures or all 3 that is keeping us indoors. Spring has not sprung here in northwest Wisconsin.

Yikes! I pictured all my organized piles of fabric pieces to be pinned swirling above me as the wind carried them away! :)
When I'm quilting indoors for hours, I also take frequent breaks outside. Wishing you calmer outside days that won't carry your fabric away!

Here in SE Wisconsin, we had a warm DAY last week. Now it's back in the 30s. The only quilty thing I'd be doing outside is wrapping myself in one!
