Jelly roll rug

Getting rid of JR’s since I really don’t care for them and decided to use this one for a new rug for guest bathroom….since it matched my colors. I watched a bunch of youtubes first to learn the tricks to avoiding wavy results and this came out perfectly flat, which thrilled me to no end. I have one jelly roll left in my stash (woohoo) so I may make another one.

I really like the colors and it looks like a very nice size. How many jelly roll strips did you use?

Thank you! An entire JR is used for this and is 42 strips, typically.

Nicely done!

So pretty teen!

Nice rug. Love the colors. I sure hope you enjoyed the process. They are so much fun to make. 4strips, with a 9 inch center start is perfect for the back of the toilet too.

I'm working on a JR rug today! My first rug made from cotton fabric is so faded from lots of washings (it is in front of the stove) that it is time to repurpose it. Now, I only use indoor/outdoor fabric and cut my own strips! Those are still vibrant!

I want to share a pic of the JR mat next to the microwave for hot containers to land. Very sturdy and perfect size for rectangular casserole dishes. I used leftover I/O fabric.

Great use of that "bee" fabric Teen. Love all the others your post inspired too.

aashley333, did you find one or two videos that gave you the best instructions. Would you give the links for us 'non-rug' makers because the ones posted look very handy to make the micro mats for gifts?
